About Greg

Greg Kuter is a passionate automotive enthusiast with a lifelong love for performance cars and motorsports. As the founder of Time Machines Motorsports, Greg brings his extensive knowledge and expertise to help people fulfill their dreams of owning and working on cars, particularly as family projects. With a rich background in various automotive disciplines, Greg’s journey in the world of cars began in the early 80s when he was exposed to Cobras and Lotus 7s at a local shop. It was there that his father introduced him to Rick, a skilled craftsman at a restoration shop, igniting Greg’s fascination with automobiles.

At the age of 16, Rick gave Greg the opportunity to work on his first restoration project: a Ford Mustang SVO. This experience fueled Greg’s passion, leading him to join Rick full time in the restoration business. Greg’s involvement with the Mustang opened doors to the world of motorsports competition, where he delved into autocross, track days, SCCA racing, and upright sprint carts. Even as a young racer, Greg showcased his talent by participating in motocross and SCCA Solo One Autocross, securing multiple victories and regional titles along the way.

As his racing career progressed, Greg developed a keen ability to set up and prepare his own vehicles, including building roll cages and other essential components. His drive for excellence extended beyond the race track, as he pursued education in automotive technology and other related fields. Greg completed a two-year Erie Vehicle Tech Training program, further enhancing his expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair. During high school, he also delved into computer-aided drafting, technical drawing, and welding, solidifying his foundation in automotive craftsmanship.

Greg’s professional experience encompasses various roles in the automotive industry, including working as a technician in independent repair shops, serving as a service advisor and assistant service manager at several dealerships, and owning a Snap-On Tools franchise for eight years. His diverse background allowed him to accumulate extensive knowledge in automotive maintenance, repair, and customer service.

Throughout his career, Greg has actively participated in competitive events, such as 12-hour endurance races and Spec Miata ITA/ITB racing. His technical acumen and passion for the industry also led him to serve as a tech advisor and sales representative at SSBC (Stainless Steel Brake Corporation) and as a tech support specialist for Lead Brakes. Greg’s unwavering commitment to his craft, coupled with his exceptional problem-solving abilities, has made him a trusted networker, friend, and influencer within the automotive community.

With Rick approaching retirement, he recognized Greg’s dedication and offered him the opportunity to transition the business. This pivotal moment solidified Greg’s vision for Time Machines Motorsports, where he continues to help people realize their lifelong dreams of car ownership and restoration, particularly within the context of family projects. Greg specializes in providing maintenance services that others may find challenging or prefer not to undertake, utilizing his expertise to solve seemingly insurmountable problems.

Greg Kuter’s lifelong passion for cars, his vast experience in various automotive disciplines, and his commitment to customer satisfaction make him the perfect partner for any car enthusiast. With Time Machines Motorsports, Greg aims to create an environment where families can bond over their shared love for automobiles while receiving the highest level of expertise and personalized care.
